I am a strong believer that our time on this earth is one long, unfolding learning experience. From the moment we arrive — tiny, unknowing, and wide‑eyed — life begins teaching us. At first the lessons are simple: how to breathe, how to trust a warm voice, how to reach for the things that spark our curiosity. But as the years gather, the lessons deepen. We learn from joy, from heartbreak, from the people who lift us up and the ones who challenge us. We learn from our mistakes, from our triumphs, and from the quiet moments when we finally understand something we’ve been wrestling with for decades.
And the learning never stops. It carries us through childhood, through the long middle stretch of adulthood, and right into the twilight of our days. Even in our final breath, life is still teaching us — about love, about letting go, about the strange beauty of having been here at all.
To live, in the truest sense, is to learn. Every day is a lesson, every experience a teacher, and every one of us a student until the very end.
