When software suddenly stops behaving as expected—taps into a universal annoyance for anyone who relies on technology. It’s the jarring shift from smooth functionality to unexpected failure that can feel like a betrayal, especially when you’ve come to depend on a tool for work, creativity, or daily tasks.
A prime example of this happened yesterday with WordPress’s AI assistant. I reported it around noon. It was a challenge to finally get a chat with a human instead of AI. The human said they do not know of any issue with AI assistant and asked where my issue was. After the human went to my site and found out there was an issue the human said the team will start working on it. Finally, about 6 hours later the AI assistant was back up and running. It is kind of disturbing on how dependent you become using these newfound tools you can put in your toolbox.
